Hood Rubber Company was widely recognized its support of our Allied Forces throughout the early 1900's. During WWI, Hood Rubber Company produced several models of rubber boots in huge quantities to support the French, British, and U.S. forces. During WWII, the company manufactured rubber safety rafts, bullet-proof fuel cells, deicers for military aircrafts, plastic helmet liners and aviation boots. Additionally, Hood developed their fully insulated 'Subzero Pac' boot which was designed to endure temperatures of 25 degrees below zero. This boot was used by U.S. Armed Forces during the Korean War.
